Busch Beer: The History of Refreshment

Busch Beer: The History of Refreshment

Busch Beer: The History of Refreshment

THE HISTORY OF BUSCH BEER

Busch beer has a long and illustrious history rooted in tradition, exceptional ingredients, and crisp, refreshing taste. It started as Busch Bavarian Beer, made a comeback as the first beer introduced by Anheuser-Busch after prohibition, and to this day it’s the only beer that proudly displays our founder’s name.

Busch Bavarian (1955)

Busch began as Busch Bavarian, the first beer made by Anheuser-Busch following Prohibition. Busch Bavarian was given the slogan, “Clear and Bright as Mountain Air”

After nearly a quarter century, Busch Bavarian became the Busch Beer we know today. The new beer with a lighter and sweeter taste was given the slogan, Head For The Mountains and even its own sound of refreshment: “Buschhhhh”

Busch further solidified as a beer that’s best enjoyed in the Great Outdoors with its first camo packaging in 2006. The Busch Camo Cans remain a fan favorite to this day.

Busch Guy, 2017

Busch Guy arrived as the face of Busch for a 2017 Super Bowl commercial. He also introduced America to an updated package and can design, reflecting the natural refreshment of the Great Outdoors.
